This independent organization brings together citizen and organizational partners to prioritize health sustainability through prevention. The association supports social and economic development in Quebec by promoting a sustainable notion of health and well-being. The long-term vision of the organization is that, while medical care should be provided to the entire population, prevention should be encouraged to keep the population healthy.

In the context of diversity, the CIPCD aspires to be an interface between the education and research communities to develop and consolidate the pedagogical and psychosocial expertise of staff members, in relation to be the educational mission and the urban environment. The centre fits in with the CSSMB’s “Living Together in French” orientation.

This centre for applied research in schools is the result of an innovative partnership between the faculties of education of the University of Montréal and the University of Québec (Montréal), as well as the InterActions research centre and the Sherpa University Institute

The SEXTO project is a partnership between schools, police forces, and the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DCPP), to promote prevention and raise awareness among elementary and high school students as regards the growing phenomenon of sexting.
